Parking information

Access to Alte Oper multi-storey car park: DANGER OF JAM

Please note:

The parking guidance system at the Bockenheimer Anlage is defective (incorrect parking space display); there is an acute risk of congestion in front of the ‘Alte Oper’ multi-storey car park (operator: Parkhausbetriebsgesellschaft). Please allow sufficient time for your journey.

New cooperation with the APCOA Opernturm multi-storey car park

(Bockenheimer Landstraße 2 to 4, directly opposite the Alte Oper):

As a concert guest at the Alte Oper, you benefit exclusively from our new night tariff - for a special flat rate of just 5 euros, you can park your car in the Opernturm multi-storey car park between 4 pm and 3 am (subject to availability). Before or after the concert, or during the concert break you will receive your personal discount QR code from our staff at the information counter in the foyer of level 1 on presentation of your concert ticket. Please scan this code at the pay machine in the Opernturm multi-storey car park after you have inserted your parking ticket - you will then only pay a parking fee of 5 euros.

The Alte Oper, OpernTurm, Q-Park Opernplatz, Schiller-Passage, Junghofstraße, Börse and Goetheplatz are open around the clock. TRIANON: open until 1.30 am, closed on Sundays and public holidays

By bicycle

You can leave your bike in one of the parking areas around the house.

Please note that due to its prominent location, the Opernplatz is sometimes used as a meeting place and for demonstrations. Therefore, please plan enough time for your journey. On the Facebook page of the city you find updated information about planned demonstrations in Frankfurt.
Furthermore, please note that access to Alte Oper is not only possible frontally via the stairs to the main portal, but also sideways via the historic carriage drive.
