• Switching times on the air conditioning systems
• Reactive current compensation system
   

Investments in the future: renovation of, among other things

• various air conditioning systems
• Pressure boosting systems for drinking, technical and fire extinguishing water
• Building management system
• Cold stores in the catering facilities (50% already replaced)
• Lifts (conversion from hydraulic to electric drive)
• Water heating
• Ventilation systems
• Lighting (conversion to LED lighting)
   

Utilisation of alternative energies

• Use of eco-electricity from water energy
• Use of district heating for heating

Saving water

• Use of waterless urinals
   

Less paper / recycled paper

• Switch to recycled paper for all printing materials at Alte Oper, including packaging
• Use of 100% recycled paper in everyday office life
• Use of combination devices for copying, printing and scanning
• Use of mobile digital devices for inspections, tours, etc.
• Reduction of printing materials, offsetting emissions through contributions to support climate protection projects
   

Implementation of a detailed cleaning concept

• All cleaning agents carry the EU-ECO label (more at www.eu-ecolabel.de)
• Use of fixed dosing heads to avoid overdosing
• Use of energy-efficient cleaning machines
• Preparation of cleaning textiles with systems that ensure savings in cleaning chemicals, water consumption and drying energy
• Use of recycled bin liners
