Bring your own Baby

Violinist Hilary Hahn found it difficult to attend concerts after becoming a mother in 2015. Unable to find a suitable programme that welcomed babies, she decided to create her own. Alongside her regular tour dates, Hahn now performs short concerts for new parents and their babies. The concerts feature works from her solo repertoire and are open to anyone who brings a baby. Hahn does not consider these concerts to be educational but rather aims to create a space where parents and babies can listen, marvel, crawl, and experience music together. Admission is free as long as the condition of bringing a baby is met.
