Performers
Many things are possible in this music talk format, which has been firmly anchored in the Alte Oper programme for many years. For example, the presenter can perform an aria or take up the clarinet. That the audience becomes a choir when singing canons together. That a guest on the podium talks about a surprising profession or an interesting passion. That the guests come together to form a chamber music ensemble. In the DaschSalon, salon culture is reorganised and revived. In the November edition, Karl Henckell's poem ‘Ich schwebe’ (‘I float’) (wonderfully captured in musical weightlessness by Richard Strauss) provides the motto for an afternoon full of flights of fancy. Host and soprano Annette Dasch undertakes these together with her sister and brother-in-law and not least with her musical, reciting and storytelling guests.
