No, cat videos had not yet been invented when the Brothers Grimm passed on the fairy tales that had been handed down for generations. But the curious story of a self-confident tomcat who begins to speak and immediately demands a pair of boots - even back then, it was all about the right shoes! The Papageno Musiktheater am Palmengarten brings this classic of fairy tale literature to the stage of the Mozart Hall, providing young audiences (and their parents) with a distraction while they wait for Christmas. Ensemble founder and director Hans-Dieter Maienschein and his ensemble use poetic means to tell the still beautiful story of belated justice and gratitude. Of course, the music must not be missing: Works by Vivaldi accompany the miller's son and the tomcat on their path to happiness.
