Drums, marimba, vocals, tuba and funny, colourful plastic tubes - anything is possible when Louie's Cage Percussion take to the stage. But one thing is clear: it will be colourful and fun. With cool beats and breathtaking speed, the percussionists play their way through musical styles from classical to pop and jazz, delighting children and adults alike.
Louie's Cage Percussion was founded in 2014 by percussionists from top orchestras in Austria and Slovenia. Since then, the explosive percussion group has presented its creative programmes in venues such as the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Volksoper Vienna, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Vienna Musikverein, the Philharmonie Luxembourg and the Gärtnerplatz-Theater Munich. In their programmes, they hop through music history, experiment on their instruments and tell humorous musical stories. They pass on their passion and determination as musical role models when making music, teaching and in family concerts and workshops.
The two dates at 9.15 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. are aimed exclusively at primary school classes. For families, the Museum Society offers this concert the day before.
