Since the arrival of Ioannis Mandafounis as artistic director, the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company has been working with an improvisation method that enables the dancers to create a new choreography live on stage from their bodies, movements and actions in every performance and every moment. This studio visit provides an insight into both the dance practice and the conceptual background to this particular way of working.
