It sounds charmingly nostalgic when Ulrich Tukur describes his four-piece combo as a 'dance band'. Indeed, the programmes of the multi-talented musician and his 'Rhythm Boys' are a stylish tribute to the - musically - good old days. I love the elegance, the lightness, the skill of the music and the wit of the lyrics of the songs from that era. The whole entertainment industry in the 20s and 30s was of a very high standard,' says Tukur, explaining his soft spot for the Roaring Twenties. However, the band's programmes also take a turn towards the present day - with new songs and fresh sounds. In 2025, the four gentlemen celebrate not only the sophisticated sound of the 1920s, but also themselves: For exactly three decades they have been sharing their passion for entertaining and singing, for sophisticated entertainment and perfect irony!
