No wonder Aaron Azunda Akugbo, despite his classical background, cites Louis Armstrong as one of his most important role models with his smooth and expressive playing. Technically impeccable, charismatic and humorous, with a keen interest in human interaction and a wide range of musical passions, the Scottish-Nigerian trumpeter is on the verge of conquering the big stages of classical music. This event in the Lunch Concerts series is a great opportunity to be inspired by Akugbo for the first time: a short concert followed by a light snack provides an artistic break in a busy working day.
