Performers
A kaleidoscope of European music history from the Orient to the Occident with works by Playford, Telemann, Caldini and Bey as well as Turkish folk songs
Four musicians, thirty years of stage experience together, forty different recorders: the Ensemble Flautando Köln adds up to an impressive number. The flute quartet has now been performing together for three decades and is taking up the cudgels for an underestimated instrument. The many facets of music that can be played on the numerous members of the recorder family will now be demonstrated at a date in the lunchtime concert series. The fact that their instruments are among the oldest of all and have relatives in almost every country in the world has inspired the members of Flautando Köln to search the world for traces. The result is a programme that brings dances from very different cultures to the stage with curiosity and temperament. A lunchtime concert that takes you into strange and surprising worlds of sound.
Concert duration: approx. 30 minutes
Followed by a snack in the Clara Schumann Foyer (level 2) and in the Hindemith Foyer (level 3) (included in the ticket price)
