The Dirty Loops. Max Mutzke. Michael Wollny and Kinga Głyk. What at first glance looks like the line-up for a multi-day international jazz festival is actually a single concert at the Alte Oper as part of Jakob Manz's jazz residency. For the young Swabian, who is already one of the stars of the German jazz scene at the age of barely twenty, international stars are always happy to lend a hand. It is a great honour, and one that Manz is looking forward to: "This concert will certainly be one of the highlights of my entire career. And that's what I want for the audience too! Manz has put together his own band, the XXL Ensemble, to provide musical support for him and his guest stars. An evening made for the big stage: full of power, full of energy and captivating in every way. Or as Jakob Manz puts it: A concert experience that sweeps you off your feet!
